Privacy notice

Last updated 21 October 2026

This notice explains what we collect when you start a free trial of Wola, why, and what your rights are. Wola is operated by Synsify.

What we collect

  • The organisation name, your name and your work email address, which you give us on the sign-up form.
  • The network (IP) address your request came from, and when it came.
  • Anything you or your colleagues add to the trial: for example a staff list, loan applications and approvals.

Why we collect it

  • To create your trial, send you its sign-in link and the two reminders before it ends, and keep it running.
  • To keep the service secure: the network address and the sign-up record let us limit abuse, such as automated or repeated sign-ups.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who sees it

  • The people at Synsify who run the platform. For support and security they can see your trial's list of people and its totals; they do not open individual records unless you ask for help, and each time an organisation is opened it is recorded.
  • The services that host Wola and send its email: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database) and Resend (email). They process data for us and for no one else, and your data may be processed outside Uganda.

How long we keep it

  • A trial and everything in it is deleted 60 days after the trial ends.
  • The sign-up record (email address, network address, organisation name) is kept for up to 12 months to prevent abuse, then deleted.

Cookies

Wola uses one cookie to keep you signed in and one to remember your light or dark appearance. It uses no advertising or tracking cookies. If the sign-up form shows a “confirm you are a person” check, that check is provided by Cloudflare.

Your rights

Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Write to us at the address below and we will act on your request.
